In a visual world, original design is more valuable than ever – and harder to find.
As advertising agencies strive to be different, one just is.
La Casa de Carlota produces beautiful campaigns for clients like Nestlé, San Miguel, Danone and Barcelona’s City Council, competing with the best in the business.
Their artists have Down’s syndrome and autism. Their conditions, that so many see as their flaws, are at the heart of the company’s success.
Design-ability explores the value of difference through the experiences of Odile, Joan, Quim, Carlo and Sophie and their unique approach to their lives, work and creativity.
OTOXO Productions produce documentaries in a unique way, through a programme where talented but inexperienced aspiring filmmakers from all over the world are given the opportunity to receive training and co-direct a documentary with OTOXO for Barcelona TV and international festivals. The nature of the programme also allows these films to be non profit productions which are independently financed meaning OTOXO are free to produce films about the human faces and unheard voices behind big social issues, and the pioneering and innovative people that are shaping social change.

A person who draw bold figures with disposable chopsticks and ink while lying down
A person who opens countless holes in the clumps of soil while casting the spell as eyes, eyes, nose, mouth ...
A person who keeps grains of clay in the shape of figure of "the person I like" with the sense of love
As a disabled facility that continues to produce unique artworks, "Yamanami Studio" attracts worldwide attention.
Day care service here is provided to artists who have intellectual disabilities and mental disorder.
In the documentary, they are featured in real names, with their everyday life is depicted unreservedly.
When the work will be completed is a question without answer to them.
They are not interested in how and by whom the work is evaluated.
They only keep on creating on their impulse.
One thing to be sure is that the artist creation is a solid connection between them and others.
With interview of journalists and art professionals with profound knowledge of outsider art, self-narration of "the relationship between mental state and creation" by the disabled artists themselves, it is a documentary exploring the root of their desperate desire of expression.
