越山沈默，作畫時很專心，不容易被打擾。他有強烈的自主意志，對於自己的喜好時會按捺不住發聲，「木顏色！畫紙！」這是他最感安心的創作媒介。他習慣默默觀察和思考，再將不同事物化成自己設計的字符，色塊、圖案、文字三者是越山缺一不可的創作組合。

越山對創作的熱情，可從他筆觸的力度與細緻的編排見到。他能有耐性地將細如米粒的圓點、或是將直線如梳子的一個一個重覆繪畫出來並整齊排列；他亦會選好喜愛的木顏色後，堅實地繪畫在紙上，色塊中不留一點空隙，直至筆尖磨平、筆桿已短得不能握在手裡，凝重的神情漸漸轉換成滿足的微笑。

Paul is strong-minded and quiet. Once he starts drawing, he is so focused and not easily interrupted. However, he would voice out the tool and media he likes the most, like color pencils and paper. He is used to observing and thinking slowly and then converting different objects into his own designed symbols: patterns, words and color blocks.

Paul’s passion could be found from the power of his brushstrokes and delicate arrangement. He always draws repeating pattern seriously and strongly pain the color blocks until the color pencil getting flat and short. All these bring Paul great satisfaction.
